CPD, Training & Lecturing
I have been delivering CPD and INSET training for teachers, museum educators, gallery practitioners and arts organisations for over 15 years. Everything I share comes from projects I have designed, delivered and documented myself — primary research and lived practice, not theory borrowed from elsewhere. I am a specialist in the Reggio Emilia approach to child-led learning, trained at the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre in Italy, and have been sharing this practice with educators across the UK since 2007. I also deliver training in creative documentation, outdoor learning, cross-curricular arts practice, and arts and wellbeing facilitation.
Alongside this, I have a sustained track record as a visiting lecturer, guest speaker and seminar leader at degree and postgraduate level. This is a distinct offer from CPD: where my training sessions are practical and practice-focused, my lectures bring 20 years of primary research into the room — on child-led learning, the Reggio Emilia approach, cross-curricular creative practice, arts and wellbeing, and the role of the artist in educational and community settings. I work with BA and MA students, initial teacher training programmes, and conference audiences, and I draw on real-world case studies rooted in projects I have led and documented over two decades.
